Yoshimi Kotoh is a custom knife maker from the island of Kyushu, Japan. He has over 40 years' experience in knife making and is one of the original members of the JKG (Japanese Knife Guild).  Mr. Kotoh recently retired from the Japanese Defense Forces and can now devote all his efforts to knife-making. As each item is handmade, variations in wood color and design are normal and are not considered defects. Handles may be lighter or darker than illustrated.
